Ask Alex.jpg

If you’ve visited the Continental Airlines website recently, you may have noticed Alex, the new virtual assistant in the top right corner. Just type a question into the search box below her and not only will she give you an answer, but she’ll also bring you to the webpage on the site where the answer is found. I spent a few minutes asking some questions and her answers were surprisingly accurate. What’s great about Alex is that she’s available 24 hours a day, she won’t put you on hold and you won’t get charged a fee for talking to her. All good things!

  1. Good to know. We’re taking Continental to Ecuador and it’s a great way to get an answer without incurring all those international dialing fees. Thanks for the tip Alena!

  2. I asked Alex about seat assignments and was told to log on at the bottom of the page. There was no log on on the page, only more things to ask about. How to I find where I log on to change or select a seat on Continental?

There are a couple of ways to change seat assignments. If you have a Onepass number you can sign in to your account by clicking the “Sign In” link on the top right and your existing reservations should pop up for you to click on and change. If you don’t have a Onepass account, click on “Change/View Existing Reservations” under the “Reservations” tab on the top left. There you can pull up your flight by entering your confirmation code and last name and you can change your seats.

  3. On 5/11/2012 at 10:48am Continental Airline flight 1603 Ontario California i am to pick up a puppy that is being shipped from Texas. I am trying to find out where I pick up my puppy from. Airport terminal, shipping department, baggage claim? I called Continental and the wait time is over 30 minutes. PLEASE HELP

Hi David….you should probably ask the person shipping the puppy. Usually pets are picked up at the cargo counter, but it depends on how they are shipped and the airport.
