I find New York to always have some excitement. I love how no matter what time of day or night, there is something always going on. One of my favorite places is Times Square and I also love Broadway.
What a wonderful prize. We were just told recently about how great Circle Line cruises are. Thanks for this contest.

You just can’t beat the food here. There’s such a huge diversity in what’s offered, not only in ethnic-type but as well as price. I’ve learned that you don’t have to be eating at at 5 star restaurant here to be enjoying good food.

I love New York because it is 25 minutes from my house, and offers so many fun things to see, do, and eat! Love Broadway!

I just love the excitement of the city. When I was in college, we would all go down to a friend’s apartment on New Year’s Eve and celebrate in Time Square.

Since my first visit in 1976 to now, I’ve watched NYC grow and develop into one of the greatest places to visit in this country. I love New York, from Manhattan to the quaint towns that line the Hudson River further north, up to Lake Champlain and Plattsburgh. I’ve yet to visit Staten or Long Island, but I can’t wait to get there, too!

To paraphrase NYC’s own David Letterman, the top ten things I love about NYC are:
1. Free Shakespeare in the Park
2. Shopping
3. Broadway, baby!
4. Times Square and seeing Bruce Springsteen stuff in the Hard Rock Cafe
5. The Metropolitan Museum of Art
6. The Museum of Modern Art
7. Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Opera
8. Mets, Mets, Mets! (oh and I guess the Yankees too,LOL)
9. A good concert at Madison Square Garden (Bruce, anyone?)
and finally, David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theater!
I love New York and gotta say, this is a great giveway!

I fell in love with NYC when my daughter started living there to go to college. The rush-rush of the people, the tall buildings, the seaport, the landmarks — I love it all!

I love New York for so many reasons. First of all I’m a displaced northerner living in Florida.
1. The Food – I can get ANYTHING I want ANY time that I want when I’m in the city.
2. Shopping – Whether I have a full wallet or only a couple of dollars, there are plenty of great places to spend, spend, spend.
3. Theater – There’s none better ANYWHERE.
4. Museums – A little culture never hurt anyone.
5. The People – They just make me feel like it’s HOME.

I don’t think that I can pick any one reason. The city is just so vibrant and alive. I guess my favorite thing is the sense of anything is possible.

I love New York because of the sense of pride and country it has to offer. New York is the gate way to our country and it is a awesome reflection of all the dervsity this country has to offer from the food to the melting pot of cultural dervisity that makes New York special and unique. From nights on Broadway to days in the Bronx you can reach out to all ethinic groups and see people working together to keep America Great…Thanks New York We love you. For all you continue to sacrifice to show the world America is still the Home of the Free..
Comment by shelly cook — September 27, 2009 @ 9:24 pm
i love nyc because everything is here. i’ve stayed in cities all around the country, enjoyed all the ombiances of everything those places had to offer and every city has tried to emulate what we new yorkers already take for granted. from the famous landmarks, to all the ethnicies, to the four seasons and vigorous activities nyc has to offer, it gets no better than this place.

New York has an energy, like a heartbeat, you feel the pulse and adrenaline rush. It makes you feel upbeat and full of life. New Yorkers showed us all that life can and will go on and that it’s still truly a sight-to-see!
Comment by Cynthia Nicklus — September 27, 2009 @ 11:04 pm
Because the city changes every season to a completely different experience….and..because of the neighborhoods. I live and love in Brooklyn, but right now I’m obsessed with Hell’s Kitchen..not yet gentrified, friendly, every race and creed, still a bit gritty…and now we are in Autumn, and you can feel the moods shift..and relief that the August heat has broken. I love New York also for the people, we are the best!
Comment by Bart — September 27, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
