Absinthe Offered on Virgin America

Virgin America announced today that they will now offer absinthe on all their flights. The super strong, green alcohol which originated in France, is sometimes called “the green fairy” and was banned in the United States from 1912-2007 due to its hallucinogenic properties. I would describe the taste as an anise flavor, like black licorice. Virgin will be serving it in Mile High Cocktails shaken with sprite and lemons and poured over ice.

I saw this and just giggled. Like getting on a Virgin flight wasn’t weird enough as it is. I always feel like I’m crashing a Prince party.

That is the PERFECT way to describe a Virgin flight! I like the Virgin cola they have myself, but they only have that on Virgin Atlantic flights and not on Virgin America.
