Working with several major libraries they have begun scanning books and making them available in limited or full versions online, including many travel books and guides. Just type in the the name of the place you are visiting followed by the word guide in their search box and all available books will be displayed. If you decide you’d like to purchase one of the books or borrow it from a library, Google will offer links for both options. Every February, the Sapporo Snow Festival is held for 7 days in Sapporo, Japan. Over 2 million visitors flock to the city to see hundreds of amazing snow and ice sculptures created by teams from all over the world. The sculptures are usually very large, intricate and often illuminated at night. Other activities to enjoy include tubing down a giant snow slide, navigating a snow maze and taking in the sights via hot air balloon. After a day in the snow, guests can warm up with some of Sapporo’s famous ramen noodles. Source: Sherman’s Travel December 14, 2007Next Page » |
